Before designing the receipt scan flow, I conducted a comprehensive competitive analysis of three competitors, and reviewed the founder's initial two wireframes.

Although I took inspiration from the original designs, I redesigned the overall information architecture of the app by removing the confusing bottom navigation bar that conflicted with the tab structure, and streamlining the navigation via the camera icon and sidebar menu.

For scanning receipts, I conceived and designed the flow to be innately intuitive and entertain the user through fun interactions, with consideration for error states and guiding the user through any errors.
